I remember very clearly the stern warning on the cantilever-style tip-off scope mount that I later purchased for the rifle. The barrel is made of brass and will detach with not-too-much leverage. The aforementioned admonitions are wise, indeed. I must have shot 5000 birds with that little rifle it was my first "gun" experience. Your rifle is virtually identical to the one I had in high school in the 70s, right down to the grain pattern in the stock and the wearing of the finish on the metal. ![]() ![]() That Sheridan Blue Streak brings back so many memories! Even seeing the old manual evoked some very fond recollections from my past.
